Privacy policy: how Awzany handles your data

This policy explains what Awzany ("we", "us") collects when you use the Awzany app and the website at awzany.com, why we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, write to us at info@awzany.com.

Summary

We collect what you give us (your account, workouts, meals, water, goals, photos and messages) and what the app needs to run (sign-in sessions and basic technical data).
Your profile is filtered by the privacy level you choose. Your account email is never shown to other people.
AI features are off until you turn them on.
Coach National ID images are private and reviewed only to verify the coach.
You can delete your account at any time from the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
Usage analytics (Google Analytics on the website, Firebase Analytics in the app) measure how Awzany is used, without personal data. On the website you can reject it in the cookie banner or Cookie settings; in the app you can turn it off at any time.
Crash reports: when something breaks in the app, on awzany.com or in our staff dashboard, we receive the technical error details (error message, code location, page or screen, app version, platform and OS version) so we can fix it. They carry no personal data: no name, email, account id, typed text or cookies, and emails, tokens and long numbers are removed before sending. In the app you can turn them off with Send crash reports in Settings.
We do not sell your personal data.

Data we store

Account and profile: email, display name, password (stored as a secure hash), @username, bio, profile picture, body metrics you enter (such as height, weight and date of birth) and your preferences.
Training data: workouts, sets, personal records, custom workouts, goals, nutrition and hydration logs, and progress photos.
Health profile (optional): conditions, injuries, movement restrictions, diet, equipment and training goals you report yourself. We use it only to filter exercise recommendations and to personalise AI answers. Awzany is not a medical device and does not verify these answers.
AI history: when AI is on, we keep your conversations with Wazangy and the results of AI features (such as weekly reports and suggestions) so you can read them again.
Community: who you follow and who follows you, follow requests, cheers, blocks and reports.
Coaching: coach pages, offers, bookings, sessions, chat messages and the photos you send in chat.
Wallet: top-up and withdrawal requests, transfer references, receipts you upload, the payout account details you enter and your wallet history. We do not process or store payment card numbers.
Terms consent: the version of the Terms of service and this policy you accepted, and when.
Technical data: sign-in sessions, device and app version, and security logs (for example failed sign-ins), kept to protect accounts and run the service.

Browsing awzany.com: our servers keep standard request logs (IP address, browser and the page requested) for security and to keep the site running. The site does not use advertising cookies. It remembers your light or dark theme and your cookie choice in small cookies, and uses Google Analytics unless you reject it (see Cookies and analytics).
Contact form: when you send us a message we receive your name, email, topic and message by email at info@awzany.com. They are not stored in the Awzany database, and we keep the email thread only as long as we need it to answer you. We send one "We got your message" email to the address you entered.
Newsletter: if you subscribe, we store your email address, whether the subscription is pending, confirmed or cancelled, where you signed up (for example the footer or the blog), the version of this policy shown at sign-up and the dates you signed up, confirmed and unsubscribed. Nothing is sent until you click the confirmation link we email you (valid 48 hours); unconfirmed addresses are deleted after 7 days. You can unsubscribe at any time from any newsletter email, or with your mail app's one-click unsubscribe. We keep a cancelled address so we never email it again by mistake; ask us at info@awzany.com to delete it completely. Only Awzany staff can see the subscriber list, and exports and deletions are logged. We do not use tracking pixels or click tracking.
Spam protection: the contact and newsletter forms use our own check (a drag puzzle or a short question, plus a small computation done by your browser) and a hidden spam field, with no third-party captcha or tracking script. To enforce daily limits we keep short-lived counters keyed by a hash of your IP address and of your email, deleted after a day.
Public web profiles: coach pages, and profiles whose owner chose the Public level, may be shown on awzany.com to anyone, including people without an account, and may appear in search engines. Profiles at other levels show only what their owner made visible to everyone, and are not offered to search engines. Age, height, weight and phone numbers are never shown on the website.

Cookies and analytics

On awzany.com. Essential cookies are always on: awz_theme remembers your light or dark theme and awz_consent remembers your cookie choice (kept for 180 days). They never leave awzany.com.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used so we can improve it. It measures page views and interactions such as clicks, scrolling, searches, forms and video plays, without personal data: we never send your name, email, username, what you type or what other people wrote, and links to coach and profile pages are reported without the username.

Your choice. Google Analytics is on from your first visit, and a banner lets you Accept, Reject or Choose. Reject turns it off at once, deletes the Google Analytics cookies and is remembered for 180 days. Rejecting has no effect on how the site works.
Changing your mind. Open Cookie settings at the bottom of any page to turn analytics on or off. When you turn it off, measuring stops at once and the Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_…) are deleted.
Google as our processor. Google provides Google Analytics on our behalf and processes the data under its data processing terms. Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalization are off, and we use Google's consent mode with every advertising setting denied.
Retention. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account and then deleted automatically. Reports show totals, not individual people.

In the app. The app uses Firebase Analytics (by Google) to see which screens and features are used, so we can improve them. It measures screens and taps, without personal data: never what you type, your workouts' contents, health values or messages. Share usage analytics is on by default, and you can turn it off at any time in the app's Settings; nothing more is sent from then on.

Community profiles, leaderboards and coach contact

Public profile: your name, @username and photo are visible to signed-in users, except people you block. Everything else follows your level in Me › Profile and privacy (Public, Community, Followers only, Private or Custom) and is filtered on our servers. Your account email is never shown.
About you (optional): job, country, region and city follow the Profile details section. Your mobile number follows its own Contact section, which is Only me on every level except Public (followers). Numbers are not verified by SMS and are never used for marketing.
Cheers: a cheer stores who sent it, to whom, the emoji and the day. The person cheered sees who cheered them; blocked people are never shown.
Reports: a report stores the reporter, the reported account, the reason, an optional note and the moderator's decision. The reported person is not told who reported them. Reports are deleted with either account.
Leaderboards: only people with a @username who keep Show me on leaderboards on and are not Private are ranked. Turning it off removes you within seconds.
Coach contact card: a coach's WhatsApp, phone and email are shown only to the trainees they actively coach in Awzany, never on public profiles. Contacting a coach outside the app opens WhatsApp, the phone app or email on your device; anything arranged there is your own responsibility.

Coach pages and verification

Coach page: a coach's headline, bio, experience, specialties, training locations (with any map pins they add), weekly hours, gallery and approved certificates are visible once the coach publishes the page. Unpublished pages are visible only to the coach.
Distance: "km away" uses your approximate location only after you tap Near me and allow it. The app sends it with that search to sort coaches; we do not store it.
Verified coach: a coach's National ID images are stored privately (never shown on the profile or to trainees) and read by an ID-card reading service so the coach can confirm the details. The ID number is stored encrypted; only its last 4 digits are readable in the app. Awzany moderators see the images and the full number only to approve or reject. Rejected ID images are deleted at once, and everything is deleted with the account.
Certificates: uploaded files are checked by a moderator; only approved ones are shown to others.

How we use your data

To provide the app: sync your data across devices, show your progress, run bookings, chat and the wallet.
To keep Awzany safe: verify coaches, review reports and disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect accounts.
To communicate with you: verification codes, security notices, booking and wallet updates and replies to your messages. You choose which push notifications you receive.
To improve Awzany: aggregated, non-identifying usage to fix bugs and plan features.

AI processing

AI features (Wazangy chat, weekly reports, suggestions and meal scans) are off until you turn them on in Settings › Awzany AI.
All AI requests run on our servers. Your phone never talks to an AI provider directly.
When AI is on, summaries of your workouts, your health profile tags and what you ask are sent to our AI provider (through OpenRouter) only to generate the answer. No payment data is sent to AI providers.
Saved answers (such as your motivation message and weekly report) may be shown again without a new AI request. Daily limits apply.

We share personal data only:

with service providers that run Awzany for us (hosting, storage, email delivery, push notifications, analytics by Google, the ID-card reading service and the AI provider), under contracts that limit their use to our instructions;
with other users, as you choose through your privacy settings, bookings and chats;
when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users and the public.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising.

Retention and deletion

Account deletion (Settings › Security › Account › Danger zone, password required) is immediate and permanent:
- every session is signed out;
- everything you own is deleted: workouts, sets, personal records, custom workouts, health profile, AI history and preferences, goals, nutrition and hydration logs, progress photos, follows, blocks, cheers, coaching links and verification codes;
- your profile picture and progress photo files are deleted from storage;
- your chat messages, and the photos, voice notes and files you sent, are removed from every chat; the other person keeps the chat with their own messages, and it is closed;
- your phone number, location, job and other profile fields are deleted with your account;
- only a security log line with your account id remains.
Without the app: ask for deletion on awzany.com/delete-account. We email a one-time link to your account's address, and once you confirm, the account is deleted as described above.
Items you delete inside the app are removed from our backups and databases after a short retention window.
Wallet and booking records that we must keep for accounting or to resolve a dispute may be kept, without your profile, for as long as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

Turn AI off at any time in Settings › Awzany AI, and edit or clear your health profile there.
Change your privacy level and per-section audiences in Me › Profile and privacy.
Turn notifications on or off in Settings › Notifications.
Turn usage analytics off in the app with Share usage analytics in Settings, and change your website choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page on awzany.com.
Download a copy of, correct or delete your data: most of it you can edit in the app; for anything else, email info@awzany.com.
Workout tracking works fully with AI turned off.

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, such as to object to processing or to complain to a data protection authority. Contact us first and we will help.

Security

Accounts are protected with hashed passwords, short-lived sign-in tokens and optional biometric lock. Data travels over encrypted connections, National ID numbers are encrypted at rest, and staff access is limited, logged and protected by a second sign-in step.

Children

Awzany is not intended for children under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the version date at the top. If the change is significant, the app will ask you to review and accept the new version before you continue.
