Can I reply to a message without opening the app?

Yes. When a chat message arrives, with your coach, your trainee or someone you follow each other with, tap Reply in the notification, type your answer and send it; Mark as read clears it without answering. Your phone needs to be unlocked. On Android the notification keeps the last few messages and shows your reply as You. If a reply can't be sent (no connection, the chat was closed or you no longer follow each other) the notification says so and opens the chat when you tap it. With the app lock on, notifications hide the message text and replies need the app. Update Awzany to the latest version to get the buttons.
